PS.

In celebration of the inauguration of the New Covenant, nullifying the 600+ ordinances that were formerly in force...

...it seems wildly appropriate that I will be putting a big, spiral sliced, honey baked ham in the oven, tomorrow morning. ::cheers, confetti::

What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.

Hmmmmm. God has cleansed ME. Guess that makes me sanctified...uncommon...

:) This made me smile!
I was thinking the same thing this week...about pork that is...(something I rarely eat) and how "sacreligious" I always felt about eating ham, on Easter of all things, and I have been wondering how much of that was attached to my fierce determination to hold to the commandments as best I could. And then...how appropriate that people WOULD eat pork as we celebrate the gift of the NEW covenant So, so, so much to unlearn, sift through, let go of. I am so very slow in these things... :)

Cirra, I went through my own season of "dietary laws" - at one point in my Christian walk, I EVEN wore a head covering! (For a few weeks, until my then-pastor rebuked me gently but firmly.)

I look back on all that now, and wonder, "Who bewitched me?" (Galatians)

I was, and still am, slow in these things too.
