My Reality...

But as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, even so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God who tests our hearts.

I guess that's what I'm saying in the spiritual gifts post....all things have to be done before this God who tests the hearts of all.The greatest irony of ministry is this. If you try to please men, longterm it don't!
If you are not a man pleaser...long term it do!!!
"But the Presence of God I am talking about is the one that the spiritual gifts, when used keenly and rightly, bring.....the atmosphere of the God of history and destiny....the Commander of the Lord of Hosts." http://080808onnowto.blogspot.com/2009/12/spiritual-gifts-ii-not-by-might-nor-by.html
Happy Christmas and New Year to you all

So true...long term, it really does actually increase others respect for the ministry, when a pastor is willing to lose friends, lose "church income" if it comes to it, lose his life for the sake of Christ and the gospel.

Thankfully, Tim and I and Harvest Church have not lacked since Tim took a stand for the gospel of Christ and the doctrines of grace. Relationally, emotionally, mentally, we are absolutely flourishing (to be honest with you) when we should have been devastated for what was said against us, and done to us, both personally and corporately.

My soul so boasts in God over it! He restores our soul! God does what only God can do,amen?
