Pieces of Beauty...

...in the tapestry of life.

No. In the crazy quilt of life. That is, the crazy quilt that is my life. And I'm in love with it.

Our winter table....

I'm getting good at mix-n-match place settings! This brown transferware is receiving all my love these days...

Junk drawer. Pretty pencils.

My growing apron collection. Yes, I wear them all the time, and very much approve of myself when I do. Please disregard the Don Aslett microfiber sweeper-cloths, though I highly recommend them.

A pile of thrift store purses...I'm a fool for a thrifty purse.

A handmade gift from a niece named Katie...who, I believe, is a budding designer. Look what she makes with a pipe cleaner and a bit of paper!

From a child who I adore, whose name literally means, "Praise!"

Experimenting with wedding motif...

the back corner of my bedroom is piling up with all the Ingredients To A Perfect Vintage Wedding...

Flowers from my Hannah...

My inspiration wall...images that make me happy inside, a chalkboard with the wedding countdown, anything and everything that makes me smile.

Look around your life for bits and pieces of beauty. I venture to say you could snap a hundred pictures!

Oh my I love, love your place settings!!!They do go together really well. I have several of my grandmother's aprons that I adore! Just something about aprons that make a place feel so homey (is that spelled right) LOL
I feel a real strong need (and I do most times) to go antique *looking* I just love diging throught old things...wondering who had them and what their life was all about..what their dreams were...ect...oh sorry got to rambling here!

Little birds will be a lovely theme to play with as are those snowflakes hanging over your table, such a fun way to celebrate the season.

The black and white apron (in the photo) was my great grandmother's. And you are right - the apron is a custom SO worthy of reviving...it has all the charm of hearth and home, all the care and love of motherhood - the symbolism is beautiful. Please "ramble" to me anytime. You know I love it. :-)

Hi, Pearl Maple (that's Mandy, right?) My daughter gets married March 20th - there won't be a profusion of flowers in bloom then, but there will be tree branches and birds, so that is what we are going with. Thank you for the compliment! Blessings!

WHAT are you doing with MY pink & green Williams-Sonoma apron?!? I recognize it, you stink-bug. :P

What a lovely home...reflective of its chatelaine.

Ursula - NO WAY. Oh. My. DearsweetLord, I am BLESSED that you would say that. Coming from you, that means a lot - you are a good writer, yourself, my girl.

Jamie!!!! ::squeal:: I have missed you! I found the apron at Marshall's - a store that gets overstocks from the likes of Williams Sonoma, and sells them for less. YES - it is Williams Sonoma, and I got it for (are you ready?) $7. I lovelove it. Pinks and greens are my "thing" lately - I am drawn to them, and to orange...orange! A color I never thought I would like except in a football team. I am addicted to orange lately.

Chate...chate-whoo?? Chate-what?

I'm so googling that word. It seems elegant.

Love you, Ursh and Jame! (Jamie, I still have my ticket for a bath in your tub. ACK!)
